






























Our Classes

Beginner Lessons
Lesson will go over basic safety and equipment, rules of the game, and some beginner play. There will be paddles & balls available for those without equipment. Sneakers, preferably tennis shoes, required. You may repeat the lesson to improve your comfort and understanding of the game before attending a Novice Lesson. Beginner Lessons run EVERY FRIDAY. Meet on court # 1.
BEGINNER LESSONS ARE FREE TO THE PUBLIC! Limit your participation in this class to no more than 4 sessions so others may benefit from the lessons. Please check the calendar for times and special events that may require canceling classes. Also be aware of weather related cancellations.

Advanced Beginner Lessons
1.5-2.0 Skill. After the Beginner Lessons your confidence should be stronger yet you know there is much more to learn. Good technique helps you with better ball control and the aiming your shots. We start playing some games wit the emphasis on learning the stroke techniques. Cost is $10 for non-members,
FREE to PPA Members. Please check the master calendar for special events that may require canceling classes. Test out procedure is to show mastery of hitting five forehand groundstrokes consecutively and five backhand groundstrokes consecutively.

Novice Lessons
2.0-2.5 Skill. When you are happy with your stroke technique and can hit five forehands and five backhands in a row, you are ready for this class. We practice the net game to get ready for playing matches. You also will learn the "soft game" as well as the proper service technique and importance of serving it DEEP, returning it DEEP and approaching the NVZ. Cost is $10 for non members, FREE to PPA Members. Please check the calendar for special events that may require canceling classes. Test out procedure is to show mastery of the drill, "Serve, return, drop, drop, drop."

Intermediate & Advanced Intermediate Lessons
3.0-3.5 Skill. When you can consistently hit and aim ground strokes, serves, and dinks AND can compete in 3.0 level round robins then you are ready for intermediate clinics. Give yourself a test. Can you do the "serve, return, drop, return, drop, drop, drop" drill? maybe not well but can you do it. Our drills require that you aim and hit five good shots in row in order for the drill to be successful. This clinic stresses doubles strategy, aiming, footwork, and positioning. Cost is $10 for non members, FREE to PPA Members. Please check the calendar for special events that may require canceling classes. Test out procedure is to show mastery of the drill, "Drop, return, drive, return, drop, return, drop, drop, drop". This test out allows you to join the Advanced Intermediate group that follows the intermediates.
